Festive greetings, partnerships and associations, and awareness films — the human side of caring for life. This space grows through the year as new campaigns go live.
Every 1st of July, India honours its doctors — a tribute first paid in 1991, and one that turns 35 this year. The day belongs to Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy: physician, freedom fighter, educationist, and Chief Minister of West Bengal for fourteen years. Personal physician to Mahatma Gandhi and a recipient of the Bharat Ratna, he was born on the 1st of July 1882 and passed on the very same date in 1962 — a life that opened and closed on the day now devoted to his calling.
He gave himself, wholly, to the care of others — and it is that spirit we honour today. For the steadiness, the long hours, and the quiet service the world so rarely sees: we see it. From all of us at Olympus Scientific, thank you — to every doctor who shows up for life, at its very beginning and through all its moments, for a commitment to wellbeing that never rests.
